Who can use Salactol Wart Paint?

Salactol Wart Paint can be used by adults and children.

How to use

Apply once daily, usually at night.  Soak the area in warm water first to soften the skin and pat dry.  Next, gently rub the surface of the affected area with a pumice stone or emery board to remove any hard skin.  Using the applicator provided, carefully apply a few drops of Salactol to the lesion, allowing each drop to dry before applying the next one.   Avoid contact with healthy skin.  Plantar warts (also known as verrucas) should be covered with an adhesive  plaster.  Repeat the process daily and note that it can take up to 12 weeks for resistant lesions to disappear.

Side Effects and Cautions

Reported side effects include irritation at the application site.  Please see product literature for a full list of possible side effects.  Do not use Salactol Wart Paint if you are allergic to any ingredients.  Avoid contact with the eyes, lips or mucous membranes and take care not to apply to skin that is broken or inflamed.  This medicine is for external use only and should not be taken.  Do not inhale the vapour from the solvent.  The product is extremely flammable so make sure to replace the cap tightly after use.
