Guaranteed Irish, Ultrapure Laboratories Ultrap Methylated Spirits is a solvent which has many uses. As a household cleaner, it is effective at removing stains and scratches and is often used as a component of homemade glass and window cleaners. Mixed with shellac and linseed or other oil it acts as a finish for furniture often called French polish. Methylated Spirits is also useful for removing paint or varnish.
